I feel like I am a very empathetic person and some may say I’m “down to Earth”. I love reading and writing poetry. On my free time I try to listen to as many new songs/ songs I’ve never heard before as much as possible. Music and writing is a huge part in my life.
Ariel by Sylvia Plath is my favorite poem book I have read so far. Since it was her last book before passing by suicide, it holds a lot of meaning and shows and insider to her last few months. Her word choice is so wise but not straight to the point so you have to sit and think about it for a moment. There was not one poem in this book that I did not like.
Angels Creek Study – Nathan Fowkes. This piece was something I stubbled upon on Pinterest. I was mesmerized with how well the image of sunlight was painted. From my knowledge, it is not a very famous painting, with only 3,000 views where it was originally posted on deviantart.com but it is currently my favorite painting.
This film is based off of one of my favorite books ever, “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” which I definitely read too young haha. It is in the point of view of a freshman boy with mental illnesses in a form of letters written to the reader. It is an amazing and emotional movie that really did the book justice.

Placed in a golden frame
hung over the dying flame.
Admiring the way
the sunlight projects gold highlights.
I lean forward
but I know I am standing too close
I can see the lines of the painter’s brush strokes.
She sits still for eternity at her small desk.
I watch her admire herself.
Has she had enough?
Getting too warm over my fire?
Perhaps my warmth will keep her company.
She fills the room with life.
Even in the stillness of a golden frame,
she is the best thing I have.
